At the bakery located near Tateyama station west exit, the husband bakes bread using fresh yeast while his wife makes sweets. One of the best known is Nameraka pudding (220 yen – tax exc). Nameraka means smooth in Japanese, and just as the name describes, the texture is smooth and creamy. It is steamed in carefully controlled temperature using the freshest eggs possible. Can be a good choice as a gift as they last for a few days.

Blessed with a mild climate, Minamiboso is a great place for bees. Hifumi apiary provides sweets using honey collected from their own apiary. The smoothies at Sea Days are nutritious drinks that you taste twice; first as the fruit of the season, and later as the taste of healthy green vegetables. They offer three different kinds, each with different nutrients. Filled with fresh pistachio cream and locally harvested strawberries, their brightly colored éclairs are a feast for your eyes. Even the cookie toppings are red in color (460 yen – tax inc). In their window display, you will also find other pastries that have been created to look like individual pieces of art by the chef who has been trained in Tokyo.
As a native of Nagoya, where kids grow up eating Ogura toast, the owner believes it’s his role to introduce this Nagoya soul food to Tateyama. Ogura, or sweetened bean paste, is of course, homemade. Butter toast topped with ogura is dangerously delicious (500 yen – tax inc).
They roast coffee from all over the world here according to your individual needs, and their choice of sweets are a perfect match to their coffee range. Their homemade cheesecake (451 yen – tax inc) uses fresh eggs from a local farm, adding a rich flavor. You will fall in love with the combination of cheesecake and their freshly roasted coffee.
Projecting an image like a rainbow over Tateyama Bay, their seven colored macaroons are baked as sticks and served with two types of locally produced jam, chocolate sauce and cream cheese.
